Deadly Perils
"He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again."
Yes, God has delivered us all from many deadly perils! Our tenacious Young Warrior is proof of this! The cancer that Trey fights can very easily be regarded as a deadly peril. We praise the Lord that He has redeemed Trey's life over and over again!
What do you have in your life that can be a deadly peril...causing you to need deliverance?
I didn't even know I had a deadly peril going on in my life recently....not until a friend warned me about it.
Isn't
that great how God works? He brings our friends who have been through
the same trials to lead us on, encourage us and teach us how to watch
out for the perils!
What was my "near dreadful" peril you may ask? The dreaded wild strawberry vine!
You
see, I have a beautiful strawberry patch in full bloom this spring.
Every day I go out and pick sweet, warm fruit and marvel at God's
redeeming springtime,
reviving our dreary, wintry earth! :) I focus on the green plants, the white blossoms, the red fruit! Sheer bliss!
Until I talked to a friend who lost her entire strawberry patch to....the wild strawberry vine! Gulp.
I didn't even know to watch out for this "deadly peril!" Thank God for friends who warn us by sharing their journeys!
Strawberries are nothing compared to cancer.
But maybe you have a "cancer" in your life that you have been ignoring or overlooking.
Listen to a friend. Watch out for the vines that strangle. Take them to the Master Deliverer!
As we pray for Trey this week, please pray for the dreadful cancer in Trey to be annihilated!
Please pray for his treatments to continue to be so effective!
And please continue to pray for Joe and Bella and Jay and Rachel and Trey to enjoy their "lazy" summer days together! :)
(On a side note,
strawberries are very near and dear to Trey's heart, so he also would want me
to guard my strawberry patch well!) :)
"He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us again. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as
you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf
for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many."
2 Corinthians 1:10-11
