Trey Tuesday December 28, 2010

Matthew 6:9-13

Jesus said:  “This, then, is how you should pray:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name"
Shut out all the "noise" from your life as you read this.
Rest in praising our heavenly Father who is all good and deserving of our worship.
He is holy!

"Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven."
God's will - not ours.
God's agenda - not ours.
And the blessing:  God's source of provision and strength and power and protection - not ours!

"Give us today our daily bread."Oh, that the doctors and nurses may given their daily bread to perform careful, complete, accurate surgery on Trey today, with miraculous results!
And for Jay and Rachel to receive the nourishment they need both physically and spiritually during this weary time.
And for Joe and Bella as they are started a very active stomach bug last night - at the same time - for earthly bread (toast!) to bring their stomachs comfort and for Grandma to be able to take care of them today.

"And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors."
Forgive us, God, for the fear that creeps in.
Lead us where we need to forgive others.
Open the floodgates of your mercy as we open our hearts to You.

"And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one."
Oh, there is plenty to pray for here for Trey and his family!
Thank you for rolling up your sleeves, getting down on your knees in this battle!
Thank you for committing to stand in the gap for them!
Thank you for participating in God's hedge of protection around them!

"For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen."
