"In"
Two little letters - with BIG implications!
Throughout each of our lives - and especially throughout this new journey for Baby Trey - we encounter many situations we did not plan. We find ourselves bound by the circumstances God has allowed.
Let's begin this week's devotion right there.
God has allowed it.
God.
"In the beginning God"
Genesis 1:1
Isn't that where we should center everything?
From God's perspective we may not be able to see everything, but we certainly know Who can!
The word "in" occurs 11,363 times in the Bible (NIV)

Do you think God knew that He would be putting us "in" circumstances beyond our wildest imaginations? beyond our strongest strengths? beyond our greatest fears?
Of course He did!
From Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 God puts His people "in" special places and times and situations where looking to Him, seeking Him, resting "in" Him are crucial!
"And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior"
Luke 1:46
"There the angel of the LORD appeared to Moses in flames of fire from within a bush.
Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up."
Exodus 3:2
"They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail."
Acts 5:18
"In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing."
Job 1:22
Acts 14:8
As we know too well, Trey is "in" the middle of a tough battle against his cancer.
White blood cells counts....platelet counts....eating....sleeping....coughing....gaining weight....sores in the throat...cancer.
Has God forgotten Trey and his family? NEVER! :0)
Of all the Bible people "in" their journeys, and of all the people "in" their journeys of ALL TIME - God remains faithful! :0)
"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:10
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"
I Peter 1:3
"They saw the works of the LORD, His wonderful deeds in the deep."
Psalm 107:24
Proverbs 4:11
"When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins"
Colossians 2:13
"What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8:31
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
Romans 8:37
And so, with great faith in our great God, we present our prayers for Baby Trey. We trust God's will to be done.
We trust God to take good care of Trey and Jay and Rachel and Joe and Bella and their physical, emotional, spiritual needs. We believe God is willing and able to use Trey's cancer for God's glory!
Trey and his family have a perfect role model to follow. Like them, are you "in" with Jesus?
As this season of preparation for Easter continues and our prayer time concludes, please consider the journey of Jesus:
"Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped Him."
Matthew 26:67
"And then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on His head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of Him and mocked Him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said."
Matthew 27:29
"In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him."
Matthew 27:41
"In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him."
Matthew 27:44
"About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
Matthew 26:41
"And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up his spirit."
Matthew 27:50
"At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split."
Matthew 27:51
"And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard His cry and saw how He died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"

"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb."
Luke 24:1
"While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!"
Luke 24:5,6
