Trey Tuesday
Welcome to Trey Tuesday and on this day what shall we say? Should we go before the Lord of Lords with prayers and petitions? Should we beg for mercy? Extended grace? Should we get on our knees or faces before God Almighty the Creator of Heaven and earth and beg for Trey’s health? Imagine, God The Father, Jesus The Son and The Holy Spirit are on the line waiting to have a conference call with you to hear what you have to say about Trey, Rachelle, Jay, Joe and Bella Mitlo. Imagine! The God of the universe who paints the sky blue, the One who gives flight to the humming bird and beauty to the rose, the One who pastels the sunset just perfectly over the water’s edge, the One who makes a little babies fingers just so perfect, that One very God who loves you so much that He became flesh, born as a baby in the manger to die as your savior on the cross, right now, awaits your call. I say yes to all of the above.
Before you bow your head and pray for Trey and the family, may I suggest that you first begin by recognizing God as previously mentioned. Then and very importantly may I suggest that you seriously ask God to forgive you for all of your sins? Name them one by one, every one of them. God knows them anyhow, so get them out in the open. You see, if you have unconfessed sin in your life, any, it will hinder the effectiveness of your prayers for Trey and the family. So, when you are cleaning out the dirt, clean deep into the corners where you usually don’t like to go. Our little Trey needs fervent prayers from righteous people. (James 5:16)
Once you have honestly asked for forgiveness, now ask the Lord to hear your heart. Please leave your mind out of this. What should you pray for? What would you pray for if he was your child?
