Trey Tuesday - March 8, 2011

Psalm 24

"
The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it,
   the world, and all who live in it;
for He founded it on the seas
   and established it on the waters
."
What a great wake up call as we begin this Trey Tuesday!
The earth is the Lord's AND everything in it!
Puts a lot of ownership issues of material things into perspective, doesn't it?
How much time have you spent today taking care of physical aspects that have no lasting value?
And how much time have you spent today tending your spiritual walk?
Let's set aside a few minutes to consider the everlasting, eternal spiritual life!

"Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD?
   Who may stand in His Holy Place?
The One who has clean hands and a pure heart,
   who does not trust in an idol
   or swear by a false god."

Thank you, God, for sending us Your perfect Son as our source of redemption,
covering over a lifetime of sin and filth that separates us from You!
Thank you, Jesus, for being our perfect sacrifice that WE may be presented

before God with clean hands and a pure heart in Your sight!
And thank you, Holy Spirit, for guiding us and the choices we make!

"Lift up your heads, you gates;
   be lifted up, you ancient doors,
   that the King of glory may come in."

Let's lift up our heads, our hands, our hearts in prayer for Baby Trey!
Let's give thanks for Trey's tremendous week "off" of chemo last week!
Praise God as Trey was able to make it to church to encourage his mighty prayer warriors!

And thank you, God, that Trey and his family have had a "normal" time at home these past days during Trey's week off...days filled with good sleep, good blood numbers, fun times with siblings, and plenty of blessings from Team Mitlo ONE!  Father God, it seems we ask and ask and ask...and yet You answer and answer and answer!  You are so Faithful!
You are so Mighty!  We entrust Trey into your tender care as he enters the hospital again for his next round of chemotherapy.  Guide his doctors and his nurses just as You are the Great Physician.  Comfort Joe and Bella in this stressful time with Your Peace.  Encourage Jay and Rachel with Your wisdom, Your spirit of hope, allowing them to hide in the shadow of Your wings when they feel they can't survive one more day.  Nothing is impossible with You and we cling to that promise!

"Who is this King of glory?
   The LORD strong and mighty,
   the LORD mighty in battle."

May the King of glory - the Lord strong and mighty - the Lord mighty in battle surround our brave little warrior,
bless his little body, heal him, cleanse him of cancer, and unite us in the Name of the Lord!

"Lift up your heads, you gates;
   lift them up, you ancient doors,
   that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
   The LORD Almighty—
   He is the King of glory"
