Refreshment, anyone?
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven"
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Summer of 2011 - one to be remembered, for sure:
Sweltering temperatures, scorching hot cars, dehydrated fields and lawns, devastating
storms, damaging winds, flooding rains, yet sun-kissed cheeks and
shoulders, and shrieks of joy coming from local pools....
All signs that summer time is just doing its usual thing. Actually, God is doing His "thing."
And of course, Summer of 2011 brings to mind our dear sweet Trey and his
family as they wait for direction and guidance with painstaking
patience.
These past weeks have seemed like dry summer heat for Jay and Rachel as
they long for Trey to be accepted into his next course of treatment at
CHOP. With great faith and trust they believe, they KNOW, God has
everything under control both today and all of their tomorrows.
"Like cold water to a weary soul
is good news from a distant land."
Proverbs 25:25
Ahhhh, refreshment! Good news from a distant land! An appointment at
CHOP for tomorrow! We praise and thank God for moving the doctors and
insurance companies and administrations to begin Trey's treatment in
Philadelphia! We give glory to God for His perfect timing and
decisions! We honor God by saying, "Yes!" to this next step for Trey
and Jay and Rachel and Joe and Bella! We exalt God as King of the Universe and we exalt Him as the most intimate Strength and Support within every believer!
Let's go in prayer for Trey before our Almighty King of Kings and Lord
of Lords, our Alpha and our Omega, our Bread of Life and our Living
Water, our Thirst Quenching Fountain and our Gentle Breeze!
For Trey's healing from cancer -
For the Mitlo's safety (and sanity!) in travel -
For Joe and Bella's peace and safety at their cousins -
For CHOP staff and facility -
For Dr. Shaw in Pittsburgh -
For wisdom and discernment and understanding at the consultation appointment.
Thank you, Team Mitlo One, for your sustaining prayers!
Thank you for the joy and gladness your friendship and fellowship bring to Trey and his family!
And thank you for Praying for Trey wherever you are! :)
"The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice."
Psalm 97:1
