Trey Tuesday - January 22, 2013

Rock Solid

Temperatures below freezing - and staying there! - ensure that the soggy, rain soaked ground is finally firm! The weeds will be dying.  The bugs will be dying (except for the stink bugs that are safe in my house!)
I'm not quite ready to step out on the nearby lake, though.  The puddles, yes.  The lake, no.
I know if I step in/on a frozen puddle, that thin layer of water/ice is frozen rock solid.
The lake cannot be trusted.

Ever feel like life is like that?
The shallow things in life are easy to maneuver, even easy to invest a little trust.
But the deeper things? What? Risk ending up more vulnerable than an icy dip in the lake in January!??!

This Trey Tuesday I ask you to skip the rock solid analogies when it comes to relying on God.
He is Rock Solid, the Solid Rock, regardless of the weather in your neighborhood AND in your heart and life!
"For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a Solid Rock?"
Psalm 18:31 NLT

Throughout Trey's journey, God has been 100% Rock Solid Reliable Dependable Trustworthy...despite anything!
Trey's past, present and future are in His Reliable Hands...and pssssttttt.....yours are too!  :)

So jump in with us!  Both feet!  As we abandon fear and doubt and uncertainty and pray for Trey's continued treatments!
We ask for many more awesome reports!  And a miracle healing!  :)
And for the light of Trey and Jesus to shine brightly in the hospital to a watching and needy world!
And for strength and peace for Jay and Rachel and Joe and Bella and Trey!

“Jesus said, 'Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the Rock."
Matthew 7:24, 25
