Snow Globes
You know the snow globe scenes...pick
up the heavy glass ball and shake the liquid so the white flakes sparkle
and dance over the tranquil setting.
Safe and warm inside the bubble, neat and clean, preserved, controlled, contrived....
Not quite the reality of snow in our lives...cold, wet, slushy, slippery, inconvenient, unpredictable....
Yet we also know the fun, the joy, the adventure and exhilaration that comes from sledding and snow ball fights! :)
We can choose to participate in this life God has given us in one of two ways:
Trying to treat life like you live in a snow globe - seemingly pristine, composed and controlled.
Or letting God work in and around you getting your feet wet and your cheeks rosy outside the glass bubble!
(After all, isn't hot chocolate the sweetest after a day spent playing in the snow!?!?) :)
A weather broadcast the other day likened watching the falling snow outside the studio to peering into a snow globe....
That got me to thinking...as most of life does...of Trey! :) And cancer. And choosing life! :)
How? You might ask?!?!?
Trey doesn't know it, but he makes a choice every day! To live outside the bubble!
His treatment day photos scream of peace and trust and even joy! :)
Trey lives every day to its very, very fullest! :)
We praise God that Jay and Rachel exude a sense of trusting God whatever the weather!
We thank God for each and every lesson Trey and his cancer have taught us!
We ask God for continued health and strength and joy for Trey!
And we trust God for His timing in healing Trey! :)
Thank you for your steadfast, faithful prayers!
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
John 10:10
